A Pop-Up Museum Experience
Cars and Culture, proudly sponsored by MTA WA (Motor Trades Association WA) is a free, immersive pop-up museum that brings the City of Stirling’s rich local history to life alongside the vehicles that defined each decade. This experience invites visitors to explore how cars, community and lifestyle have evolved together over the decades, conveyed through three themed display hubs that will take you on a journey through Stirling’s past and present:
Display Hub 1: Classic Surf
Inspired by Scarborough Beach and its iconic coastal lifestyle, this display celebrates beach culture and classic seaside vehicles. Expect panel vans, vintage FJs, Mini Mokes and beach buggies that capture the spirit of sun, surf and summer.
Display Hub 2: Market Grounds
A nod to the area’s agricultural roots and European heritage, this display showcases hardworking vehicles paired with continental flair. Featuring classic utes, trucks and Italian motoring icons, it reflects a time when function met style.
Display Hub 3: Old School Car Yard
Inspired by Osborne Park’s legendary car dealership strip along Scarborough Beach Road, this display pays tribute to suburban car culture, spotlighting favourites such as Valiants, Monaros and Minis.
Throughout the day there are scheduled car club rotations, with different clubs and enthusiast groups stepping into the spotlight at set times. Each rotation brings a new flavour of motoring culture keeping the displays dynamic, surprising and ever-changing from start to finish.
Car Club Schedule
- REXPO: 12pm – 3pm
- JCSWA: 12pm – 4pm
- Northern Steel: 4pm – 8pm
